Hardware Test Engineer

Integrify is a tech talent platform and recruitment services provider that brings IT professionals and tech teams together. Over 150 organizations, including ABB, Telia, TietoEvry, Digia, and Fujitsu, trust the expertise of our professionals.

On behalf of our partner company, Integrify is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to strengthen their hardware testing team. You will work on an ongoing and technically interesting R&D project in a multidisciplinary environment where new, cutting-edge measurement solutions are being developed and validated.

In this role, you will take overall responsibility for hardware testing within the project, ensuring that physical devices meet functional, environmental, and safety requirements as the product progresses through development.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Hardware Test Engineer, you will work hands-on both in laboratory and field test environments, testing real devices and systems as complete products.

Your daily work will include:

  • Testing & Execution: Executing planned tests, building and configuring test setups, and performing measurements using laboratory equipment (such as oscilloscopes and other measurement instruments).
  • Data Analysis & Documentation: Collecting and analysing test data. A significant part of the role involves analysing and visualising results and producing clear, structured test documentation, especially as the project moves towards later phases.
  • Root-Cause Analysis: Working with both component-level and system-level testing, investigating issues related to mechanics, electronics, and environmental conditions, and systematically identifying root causes.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Working closely with R&D, electronics, mechanics, software, and production teams, while operating in a largely independent role in day-to-day testing activities. You will also coordinate compliance testing with external partners.

Note on working environment: Testing is primarily conducted on-site and may at times take place outdoors or at external laboratories. While remote work is possible when tasks allow it, the hands-on nature of hardware testing means that regular on-site presence is required. Support is always available from the wider testing organisation when needed.

What Are We Looking For?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Hands-on experience in hardware testing and a solid understanding of electronics.
  • Lab proficiency: Comfortability working in a laboratory environment using measurement equipment as part of your daily work.
  • Analytical mindset: Ability to test hardware systematically, understand device behaviour at a system level, and build physical test setups.
  • Strong communication: Ability to communicate test results clearly through structured documentation that supports development and validation.
  • Language skills: Fluent in Finnish and good command in English is required

Personal traits that will help you thrive:

You are self-directed, proactive, and motivated to move things forward efficiently, while also being comfortable asking for support when needed. You are genuinely curious about how physical phenomena affect device performance under different conditions and enjoy working in an R&D environment where practical problem-solving is part of everyday work.

Educational Background:

An educational background (e.g., BSc or MSc) in electronics, automation, or a related field is well suited for the role, but your practical experience and hands-on skills are what matter most.

Why should you apply?

  • A permanent, impactful position in a stable company where Engineering and product lifecycle functions are highly valued.
  • Access to top-tier, modern laboratory facilities and high-end equipment on-site.
  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise in electronics, electromagnetics, and hardware design with the support of highly experienced colleagues.
  • A clear career path with strong supervisor support for professional growth and workload management.

If you're a skilled Hardware Test Engineer looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you! Click Apply, and let's get to know each other.
