‍

As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in building, standardizing, and automating our production and R&D test stations. Working closely with hardware developers, metrology experts, and cross-functional teams, you will design and maintain test systems, perform calibration and uncertainty calculations, and ensure the precision, reliability, and quality of our measurement solutions.

‍

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Bench & Hardware Integration: Build, assemble, and troubleshoot R&D and production test equipment, establishing seamless communication with hardware over various data buses.
  • Measurement & Calibration: Manage measurement devices (temperature, humidity, gas, pressure) and execute calibration and validation processes to ensure accurate performance.
  • Metrology & Uncertainty Analysis: Evaluate measurement uncertainties, interpret calibration results, and assist with calibration certification processes.
  • Test Automation & Scripting: Configure, maintain, and automate test equipment to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.
  • Hands-on Assembly & Wiring: Perform low-voltage electrical work, soldering, fluid/gas piping, and physical assembly of modular test stations.

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • Education: Degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hardware & Test Experience: Proven track record with production or R&D test equipment, test bench build-up, and interfacing with hardware over data buses.
  • Measurement & Calibration: Strong foundational understanding of measurement technology (temperature, humidity, gas, pressure) alongside practical calibration and validation experience.
  • Metrology Skills: Deep understanding of measurement uncertainty calculations and how they apply to calibration results and certificates.
  • Hands-On Electronics: Practical skills in low-voltage electrical work, soldering, hardware assembly, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Test Automation: Familiarity with test equipment automation principles and experience scripting or configuring automated testing software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with or certification in ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Hands-on experience with fluid and gas piping as well as complete electrical wiring installations.
  • Experience replicating, standardizing, and deploying modular test stations within manufacturing or R&D environments.
  • Practical exposure to XML-based test scripts.
  • Background or domain knowledge in meteorology or specialized applications involving calibration equipment.
  • Specific experience with differential pressure measurement and instrumentation.
